  I don't even know where to begin. We walked in and there was no hostess. Waited about 15 minutes. After that we went to the bar and found a young child working behind the bar, serving drinks. We asked her if anyone was actually around. We waited another 10 minutes for the hostess to come out a seat us. They sat us in the worst possible table when the restaurant was empty. We waited 20 minutes for drinks, which were never refilled through the whole experience. The wait staff didn't even know the menu. We waited at least another 35 minutes for our burgers and salads. By the time it arrived we were nearly turned off from eating the food. Most of it was cold, ill-prepared, and quite awful. The portions were meager. Already disappointed with ourselves for having walked into this abysmal place, we decided to ask for the check. One dear fellow decided to give it one more shot with an elk sausage. It was miserable. Then when it came time to pay we asked to split the check three ways. The waitress was too idiotic to figure out how to split a check as we waited 10 minutes in an empty restaurant. Despite having not gotten the check back. I look around the corner and saw the idiotic waitress on her phone completely unaware of anything around her. When we finally got the checks back we left with haste and left the door open as we cursed this awful place on the way out. If I had not lived through this horrific event my life would be much better. Perhaps if the real wait staff did the job rather than breaking child labor and alcohol laws allowing a child behind the bar it would be alright. If anyone in health services see this, flag it. Violations everywhere.

  By Syntax Error
  I visited here a few trips back and have not eaten here recently as of 2016.
  
  I ordered the Rocky Mountain Oysters on my last trip to Manitou, seeing as how they aren't available a lot of places no mater where your from. I took the opportunity to try them here.
  
  Compared to other places I had them, they were prepared a bit differently here. At this restaurant they are sliced like discs, battered and fried. Because of the way they were sliced and the thickness of them, the texture was a bit firmer. Many places Ive had them they look more like oysters and are small clumps, but here they were potato chip sized discs.
  The flavor of them was also a bit different, but were good overall.
  
  Service at the restaurant was decent, order time to table was not bad. The restaurant however was rather empty at the time of our visit since we were having a late lunch.
  
  Prices were fair, but I went with the Rocky Mountain Oysters because the order was decently large at $11 and the steaks were all a bit pricey $20-30. If I were to return again, I would probably try one of the steaks or burgers if my travel budget allowed.
